Constance Price

In 2012, HSH Princess Olivia-Eugénie of Aigues-Mortes established her foundation for social and cultural works. The foundation's mission is to award the Prix de Constance, which each year recognizes, from among a selection of nominees, an individual who has made a significant contribution to the quality of life or the reputation of the city.

The nominees are put forward based on recommendations from the residents of the Principality and are then reviewed by the foundation before being submitted to a vote by the citizens and residents of Aigues-Mortes. The winner is announced at a reception for the citizens held at the beginning of the year. All nominees are awarded the Grand Princely Order of the Pink Flamingo by Prince Jean-Pierre IV as a token of gratitude and recognition for their contributions.

The Prix de Constance trophy was designed by Maguelone and Martine Chareyre and then made in Aigues-Mortes by the artisans of Paradis, a local business.

It is passed on from laureate to laureate over the years.

Each year, the winners thus retain the trophy until the next winner is appointed the following year.

Nomination Christophe Tiberino.png

CHRISTOPHE TIBERINO

Mr. Christophe Tiberino, founder of "Boxe & Fit Aigues-Mortes," has dedicated his love of sport to serving everyone, because beyond the effort lies self-confidence and values such as perseverance, sharing, courage, and sometimes resilience. His sports club and the attention he gives to its members, helping them progress beyond their own expectations, is far more fundamental than one might think. We wanted to highlight this generosity because Christophe Tiberino does it with passion and kindness.

MARIEL MURIGNEUX

Ms. Mariel Murigneux, correspondent for Midi Libre, has been relaying our daily news with such kindness for many years. She is also a talented writer. Her book, "L'île des enfants" (Children's Island), was a great success upon its release. Over the years, Mariel Murigneux has become the storyteller of our city, captivating both children and adults alike. We therefore wanted to pay tribute to one of Aigues-Mortes' finest writers and, without a doubt, one of our city's most beloved figures.
