Micro Con 2027
Among the key projects, plans are under consideration to establish a micronational museum dedicated to the most iconic micronations.
In September 2027, the Principality’s bid was successful, and it will host the European leg of the MicroCon 2027 micronational conference. This is the world’s largest gathering of micronations, taking place across two continents. This event will be a major opportunity to promote micronationalism and Aigues-Mortes, which is a pioneer in France in several fields.
Organisation of the MicroFrancophonie
The Principality of Aigues-Mortes is one of the founding members of the Organisation de la MicroFrancophonie, a major inter-micronational institution. In 2025, Prince Jean-Pierre IV announced his decision to leave the organisation following profound disagreements over its administrative management. The Prince’s Secretary for Foreign Affairs, however, remains in contact with the organisation and maintains cordial relations with its various members.
