Anne Mas
Chancellor of the Prince of Aigues-Mortes

Biography
Born in Choisy-le-Roi — a town whose name seemed, with a touch of humour, to predestine her for a princely destiny — she grew up in an environment characterised by an entrepreneurial spirit. Her father, the founder of a company specialising in the tile trade, instilled in her a love of work and business from a very early age. From the age of fourteen, she thus discovered the world of work within the family business.
She pursued studies focused on management and business: a G3 baccalaureate, followed by a DUT in marketing techniques, before joining a business school. This path naturally led her to the building materials sector, where she developed her skills. In particular, she joined the Saint-Gobain group through the Point P brand, where she held roles related to marketing and procurement.
Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, she then founded the company HBA1c with Patrick, continuing her involvement in the business world. She eventually concluded her professional career as a teaching assistant in a Year 5 class, putting her experience and dedication to service to good use in educational support.
Based in Aigues-Mortes, her discovery of the Principality came about almost naturally: simply living in the town meant spotting a princely portrait in local shops, which intrigued her and prompted her to find out more. One thing led to another, and her curiosity turned into interest, then a desire to be part of the adventure.
On 20 October 2024, she was appointed Chancellor to the Prince of Aigues-Mortes, succeeding Geoffrey Mathes, who then became Secretary to the Principality’s General Assembly.
With a dynamic and enterprising nature, she retains a strong taste for simplicity and enthusiasm. Her favourite colour? Pink.
She heads the Government of Aigues-Mortes, comprising more than a dozen staff members.
